STORYLINES:
(1) Roxanne Costs Bailey against Cora, But is Miffed To See Cora Added To NXT Title Match at Vengeance Day

Details:
-Roxanne runs in during Cora vs Bailey dressed as younger Bailey. This was a distraction as Cora takes advantage when Bailey turns her attention to Bailey, leading to a Cora Jade victory.
-Post match, the camera cuts to Ava whispering something to Giulia backstage.
-Ava comes out and announces Cora will now be inserted into the NXT Title match at Vengeance Day. Cora is happy but Roxanne doesn’t seem as happy. Cora recognizes this but Bailey arises and attacks the two before they could air out any drama.
-Later, in Ava’s office, Bailey & Roxanne are upset with Ava for adding Cora to the match. Ava tells Roxanne that she shouldn’t have interfered. Bailey gets a dig in at Roxanne as she leaves, saying Roxanne’s never looked better than dresses as Bailey. Cora walks in and Roxanne acts nice. Cora says she’s leaving Vengeance Day with the title, to which Roxanne scoffs.

⭐️Kayhan: Very interesting stuff to me here, as I am also following TNA very closely. I feel like they’re putting on a full court press here trying to get Cora ready for the main roster, even sending her out for reps in TNA. She’s so close! She’s got the look. I know they really want this to work for her. I will say that I think she looked pretty good out there against Bailey.

(2) Zaria Shuts Down Nikkita Lyons

-Backstage, Nikkita Lyons interjects into a conversation between tag partners Zaria and Sol Ruca. Nikkita tells Zaria that she thinks Sol is holding Zaria back. Zaria retorts with the fact that they’re coming off a win, while Nikkita hasn’t in a while. This sets up a match between the two.
-Zaria defeats Nikkita Lyons.

⭐️Kayhan: Man. That sure seemed like a burial of Nikkita Lyons. It seemed like she had a moment where she was hot and they wanted to push her to the main roster but it hasn’t felt the same since the injury. She hasn’t looked as athletic, so maybe they’ve given up. Definitely used her to elevate Zaria here… I actually am liking the Zaria / Sol Ruca pairing. They look pretty cool together… But I am a little sad for Nikkita here. She seemed like she worked really hard to get to this point.

(3) Oba Femi & A Town Down Under Scuffle Ahead of NXT Title Triple Threat at Vengeance Day

-Oba Femi cuts an in ring promo on his upcoming NXT title defense, saying although it seems like a handicap match, he believes Theory & Waller will fight amongst each other as well. Theory & Waller come out and both say they will do whatever it takes to win the title, but team up for the moment on Oba Femi. A scuffle ends with A Town Down Under standing over Oba Femi.

⭐️Kayhan: We all know what’s gonna happen here, but it’s still entertaining to see Theory and Waller go at it. Question is, can this lead to them finally breaking up?

(4) Trick Accepts Eddy Thorpe’s Challenge For Strap Match at Vengeance Day

-Video package has Eddy Thorpe cutting a promo challenging Trick do a strap match. He makes note that Trick gets all the opportunities, while he gets disregarded at every turn.
-Trick is interviewed on the podium and happily accepts Thorpe’s challenge for Vengeance Day, pointing out he’s gonna whoop that trick for costing him the NXT title.

(5) Je’Von Evans Signs For Match With Ethan Page Despite Doctor’s Trepidation

-Je’Von is in Ava’s office. She expresses concern with the doctor’s advice and gives Je’Von a waiver that will rid WWE of any responsibilities if Je’Von is hurt further. Ava tells Je’Von to take time to think about it but he signs it immediately.
-Video Package has Ethan Page cutting a promo on Je’Von risking his career. Page says he will be out to end Je’Von’s career at Vengeance Day.

(7) Tony D Retains North American Title Against Ridge Inside Steel Cage… Izzi Dame Turns on the Family and Joins Shawn Spears!

-The Family is backstage, Stacks apologizes to Tony D for how he’s acted lately. Tony tells him it’s all good and that he wants to handle his cage match against Ridge alone, telling his people to “just forget about it.”
-Backstage, Ridge walks past Stephanie & Giulia on his way to his match.
-Izzi Dame tries to slip a crowbar into the steel cage main event between Tony D & Ridge Holland, but Stacks stops her and does it himself. Tony D & Ridge fight over the crowbar. Ridge uses it but is unable to pick up a pinfall. Tony D digs down deep, takes the eyes and is able to muscle away the crowbar, use it, and pick up the win the retain the North American title.
-Post match, Ridge fights off with Stacks & Luca. As Izzi & Adriana check on Tony D, Shawn Spears & crew show up. Adriana tries to close the cage but Izzi betrays Tony D and nails him with the crowbar from behind. Adriana is stunned, allowing Spears’ crew to enter. Izzi powerbombed Adriana & Spears’ cree beat down Tony D. Luca & Stacks return but are unable to enter the cage and can only watch as the Don is humiliated to end the show.

⭐️Kayhan: Well I didn’t see the Izzi heel turn coming so they got me. Funky that Ridge couldn’t get the win even with all that going on. I kinda feel like Ridge woulda been better served being with Shawn Spears group. but ok… As for Izzi Dame, kayfabe-wise, what a bitch! After the Family defend her honor as a woman, this is how she repays them. nice…. The match wasn’t too exciting for me, despite the steel cage.

Jaida enters, who also wants a title shot, and Ashonte jumps in advocating for Karmen, who, as he says, defeated both Jaida & Kelani. Fatal Influence walk off happy about the commotion.
