STORYLINES:

(1) Continental Classic + Kenny Omega’s Return
-Ospreay v Fletcher Semi Final opens the show. Ospreay bleeds a gusher, lookin all fucked up… but comes out on top! Advances to Continental Classic Final. 

-Okada defeats Ricochet to advance to final against Ospreay.

-Medical staff is shown backstage examining Ospreay. Ospreay, lookin all fucked up, mentions his poor record against Okada, and asks the crowd to carry him through his match. Okada is also interviewed on the matter and of course calls Ospreay a BITCH!

-Okada wins a hard fought final against a worn down Will Ospreay, survives Continental Classic to retain Continental Title.

⭐️Kayhan: Ospreay vs Fletcher worked pretty out pretty good for me. They turned Fletcher into enough of a star that this semi final was pretty high profile, especially with the extra betrayal… Okada smacking the shit out of Ricochet’s bald ass head😆. Didn’t like this match as much as the first one… Ospreay coming out for the final all fucked up got me rofl 🤣. nice… The final should have been the main event. I don’t care what they had planned for the World Title match. They should have given these two the most time to recover… Okada selling for simple moves makes me think he’s trying to portray his age. This is the best match i’ve seen from him in AEW. There were moments where he seemed very athletic.

(2) Swerve / Ricochet

-Swerve comes out immediately after Ricochet’s loss to talk shit. (These 2 have been talking shit to each other for weeks). Nana comes out and passes out Toilet Paper to the crowd to throw at Ricochet.

⭐️Kayhan: I don’t really like how Mariah’s been annointed as someone with a guaranteed long ass title reign. Like i saw no chance whatsoever that Rosa was going to win. Which isn’t good. I could be more interested in this if i was on the edge of my seat not knowing what the result was going to be… Regardless, there was one cool moment when Rosa had Mariah’s throat trapped under a steel chair talking shit. That was a cool looking moment. 1/2 👍for that… The piledriver to end the match also looked pretty good.

(4) MJF / Adam Cole

-MJF defeats Adam Cole to maintain possession of Dynamite Diamond ring. Undisputed Kingdom kick MJF’s ass post match and re-unite with Kyle O’Reilly.

⭐️Kayhan: MJF’s spot getting Taven & Bennett kicked out was pretty funny… I liked the ending. the right guy won. hated this feud but i’ll give this match a 👍… although Adam Cole really needs to retire. I’m sorry. It was a good run but it’s just sad to see how far down he’s come physically. i would think he has enough money to just relax for the rest of his life…. Oh no. I wrote my review before i saw the afterbirth. Jesus christ. 👎 Can never just leave well enough alone.

⭐️Kayhan: The boot stuck in the ring apron spot looked so stupid. the final pinfall looked pretty tight though…. Overall, I don’t see the point of this match. Where the hell does Statlander go from here. If she doesn’t get all twisted demented then this is all for nothing. because that’s the only thing i can imagine could come from this.

(7) World Title 4-Way + Edge Return

-Moxley gets help from Death Riders to retain World Title. Christian was there watching but didn’t even come close to considering cashing in his title shot. 

-FTR and Edge come out post match to prevent Death Riders attack on Jay White. Christian looks on stunned from the audience. “Rated FTR” really fuck up Moxley before Claudio pulls him to safety.

⭐️Kayhan: I will never feel comfortable with Hangman and Swerve being on the same show and Swerve not doing shit about it. Swerve’s house being burned down is in Hangman’s entrance video! To me, it’s one of the biggest plot holes on the show… I was surprised to see some man on woman violence here. seen it on tna but never on aew. although it can be construed here that Jay White didn’t see who he had in the blade runner…. I’m giving this whole thing a half thumbs up only for edge. it’s interesting to me what happens next but as for this match and feud, not gonna miss it.
