STORYLINES:

(1) "Diesel" and "Razor" Beat Down Mark Mero

Participants:

Marc Mero, Sable, "Diesel", JR, "Razor"

Details:

-Diesel. As the show opens, the commentary team makes mention that JR is missing, a few seconds later, we see him accompanying "Diesel" to the ring.

-Match: Mark Mero (w/Sable) vs "Diesel". This is a non-title match, Mero's IC Title is not on the line. JR joins commentary. JR says he had to do some official paperwork with Diesel and lost track of time. Commentators also make mention that Diesel had a win the night before on Superstars.... JR is asked what the fan reaction has been to the new Diesel and JR thinks the fans are happy to see new top level talent... Announcers also make mention that Vince said there may be an investigation into JR this past Saturday on Livewire....JR says they aren't Outsiders, that this is "an insider deal," and say there is a "fat chance" that Gorilla Monsoon can terminate their contracts... Razor cuts a promo from the back, saying he's gonna come out for a closer look. Razor enters and Mero dives on him. The match ends as Razor gets in the ring and the ref calls for the bell.

Winner: Mero by DQ

-Afterbirth: Diesel & Razor beat down Mero "NWO-style" as Sable cries for her man from the apron.

->Goldust seemed like a bit part player here, doing the job, and not really having a chance to get in this title picture, especially after taking the loss here.

-Backstage, Goldust & Marlena cut promo on upcoming match with Sid, saying that although Sid rules the world, he will "ruin" Sid. 

-In the ring, Cornette & Vader are interviewed. Cornette insinuates that JR helped gets them this TV time. JR announces that Vader will face Sid at the PPV & the winner will face HBK for the title. Cornette, angry, believes Vader shouldnt have to beat anyone to get a title shot, since Vader pinned Shawn last week, in addition to other victories. Cornette claims WWF are protecting their cash cow, and that Cornette and Vader as the face of the company would destroy WWF merchandising. Cornette promises Vader will take Sid out...

⭐️Kayhan: I think Vader has a credibility problem. Doesn't seem like the audience takes him too seriously anymore. I suppose theyre just using him to get Sid over here. But I will say, from last week, they did a good job giving Cornette back some of his cred, after losing it at mind games, but he did get his guy back into the title picture... As far as the no sell, too many characters doing it at this point. is he the road warriors or what? idk, im not a fan...
